The staff are gearing up for another busy season here. People are catching the early Spring sunsets, kids are bringing out their bikes, and the winter chill is about to be gone as the fishermen are beginning to hit the lake again.
We ended 2019 with a bang. We enjoyed a potluck Thanksgiving dinner. It is our favorite Thanksgiving tradition to open our resort and share a great homemade meal with all the family members. Too much was eaten by all, and stomachs were full and happy when we left. At Christmas, we ate again, this time a wonderful spread that was provided by the resort. Laughter filled the clubhouse as everyone participated in the Dirty Santa party. If you did not attend our Car Show in October, you really missed out! We had a great number of classic cars open on display, bounce houses, and a dunking booth. We held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness and took up donations for the homeless in our community.
This Spring is jam-packed with events that it’s hard to choose which ones you will want to be a part of. In March, we have a St. Patrick’s Weekend Party as well as a Spring Break Weekend! We are ready for Easter and all of the fun that comes along with it. We’re excited for the children to find dozens of eggs as they squeal with delight. In May, we honor the men and women, who so bravely served our country, at our huge Memorial Day Blowout, with live music, games, and more.
We have made a lot of improvements here at Mountain Lakes already, with more in the works! We are upgrading the roads and sites, repairing flooring in some of the cabins, and putting new furniture in the cottages, just to name a few.
