It’s great to see our team gearing back into shape as our park begins to open. The cold is lingering which means that air is filled with the smell of campfires, hotdogs, and hot chocolate. Last year’s leaves are gone and we are beginning to see the new ones spring back.
We had a fantastic 2019 here on the Ridge! Our last big event before hugging our goodbyes was the Thanksgiving Feast. We enjoyed wonderful food and fellowship with some amazing people. In October, we celebrated the changing of the season with Fall Colors Weekend, where members bobbed for apples and enjoyed making fall crafts that adorned their surroundings. Families gathered to spend quality time together playing billiards pool and competitive ladder golf games.
In addition, members enjoyed roaring campfires, where they made and enjoyed eating the best smore’s. Karaoke and Live Blue Grass Music could be heard from every corner of the resort, and children and adults alike were found in the midst of water balloon fights and board games.
Another moment we will not forget, was when all of the members gathered around Ross Ford, who works the front desk, to sing Happy Birthday to him. What a heartwarming moment that was!
We are gearing up for Easter as our first big event in 2020. We are excited about the Easter Bunny showing up to participate in the big Easter Egg Hunt, and of course, the Sunrise Service, so that we can remember what Easter is really all about. In May, you won’t want to miss our Memorial Day Celebration. We have a huge feast prepared, live music, a bounce house, and plenty of games for the kids of all ages to enjoy.
This winter, we have worked hard on getting everything in tip-top shape. We have repainted a few places and the park including the pools. We have also replaced a few roofs and a few other updates around as well. Come and see us soon at the Ridge!
