Abita Springs is beginning to clear out the parade routes left over from Mardi Gras. The park will slow down just for a few weeks, then Spring Break will soon send families back our direction. We are enjoying the quietness of the park, reading a book, and spending some time playing games with friends. Heather and Clint are keeping us entertained all week long with Friday night bingos and Canvas Creations. Now is a great time to come, relax, and join in on the fun!
We have a lot of fun planned for this Spring. At the end of March, we have our annual Abita Springs Whole Town Garage Sale Weekend. With the entire city of Abita Springs joining in on the fun, you are sure to find some new treasure! In April, don’t miss our Easter Celebration featuring, none other than, the Easter Bunny himself! Be sure to bring your sombrero to help kick off May for our Cinco De Mayo Fiesta! It is going to be so much fun!
This past Christmas Season was fantastic! The clubhouse was decorated beautifully and filled with the laughs of families who had gathered around. We danced into the New Year with an awesome DJ and lots of laughs! Needless to say, we started 2020 off with a bang!
We are in the midst of making some resort-wide improvements. The new clubhouse floor is complete and has a nice, fresh coat of paint. It looks amazing! Also, two of the cottages are sporting new decks and we are undertaking a huge renovation around the pool, as well. In addition, paint is flying around the resort, as you will notice a new color on many different projects.
A huge thank you to our members who, so generously, donated 90 pounds of food to the Northshore Foodbank, which helped to feed so many families that were in need. OCP members truly are the best!
