We have been busy at Hideaway Ponds! We just put away our Mardi Gras celebration where decorations of purple and green could be seen from every corner of the resort. Spring is in the air and the flowers are starting to bloom and pop up everywhere.
We hope you are ready for Pie Weekend. This March we are gearing up for our annual pie contest where members can bring the best pie, whether it’s a dessert, or a shepherd’s pie, or any other variation. Easter will be upon us in April and we can’t wait for Peter Cotton Tail to hop on down the bunny trail and arrive at Hideaway Ponds. Seeing the children’s faces light up with delight upon the arrival of Peter is priceless. In May, you won’t want to miss the big Memorial Day Celebration where we will be honoring those who served our Country.
You could hear everyone cheering on the LSU Tigers as we celebrated at the resort with a tailgate party to end all parties! The excitement had everybody on the edge! The “Magic Man”, Eldon Shaw impressed young and old alike with his magic tricks. Last Winter, our members, and staff made baked goods and sent them in care packages to active Military and Afghanistan. And we were blessed to gather gifts for Toys for Tots to send to the less fortunate children in our community.
Recently, we have made some upgrades to our clubhouse and installed new doors. You will love the improvements. Our goal is to make the resort feel more like home to you so come on out and see what we’ve done!
