As the last of the cold winter air leaves the area and warm spring weather takes its place, our resort is getting busy! We have just completed a fun-filled Mardi Gras season and we are glad to have Clint back again bringing us a great time with dancing and painting.
This past winter we enjoyed games, food, and friends all season long. One unforgettable Friday night was made when we had a young girl win every single Bingo game the entire night. We were blown away when she shared all her winnings with everyone else. It was another great year of Saints football, and a horrible year for the refs…but it was fun to watch the big game with each other and enjoy lots of good food, fun, and laughter! We were saddened at the loss of one of our familiar faces here on the resort, yet not surprised to see the clubhouse packed in support of his family.
This spring, we hope to create many new memories during our weekend activities. In April we have a special Easter weekend planned. In May we have our Cinco De Mayo Party, a special Mother’s Day Party, Pet Lovers Weekend, and a Memorial Day celebration planned. Your kids and grandkids won’t want to miss our first ever Nerf War.
During the past few months here at Abita Springs, we renovated the back bathhouse with tile, new showers, and new counters…and we have re-graded many of our roads. Several updates have been made to the cabins and cottages and more are set to take place this year. We have added new, comfortable sofas and chairs in the lodge. This spring we will continue some renovations in the cabins and cottages, as well as making some improvements to our sales office.
