My, oh my it was a busy year here at Styx River Resort! Our staff and member volunteers worked hard this year to help make 2018 a year to remember. Numerous improvements were completed on the resort this year as we paved the east side of the property, continued with site improvements that included leveling and electrical upgrades, renovated the playground area, and added a handicap accessible cottage. These are but a few of the projects completed in 2018. And great news, there is much more in store for 2019! Jeff Skipper, the resort manager, is working hard to continue with site improvements and electrical upgrades this year and a major area of focus will be cabin renovations and updates.
2018 was also a great year for activities on the resort. No matter what day of the week or time of the year, you were sure to find an activity or function to your liking. Our activities’ staff and volunteers brought us many memorable weekends: Mardis Gras, Hippie Weekend, Survivor Weekend, Cinco De Mayo, Gilligan’s Island, Sock Hop, Fear Factor Weekend, Hawaiian Luau, Games Show Weekend, Seafood Festival, Fall Festival, Halloween Haunted Carnival, Thanksgiving Derby Car Championship…and these are just a few.
2019 is sure to be even better! We have many of your favorite activities returning and some new ones that are sure to be a hit. Make sure to check our website and Facebook page for all our activities and dates. And remember, if you’re not here, you’re not having as much fun as we are!
