The brisk cold air, which we missed all summer long, is back and that gorgeous sunset has yet to fail. Currently, our members are enjoying the open clubhouse again, taking a deep dive into the newly remodeled, fully heated indoor pool. The staff are busy with the leaves and getting ready to enjoy the next few weeks of holidays.
Mountain Lakes is a home away from home for so many members. We enjoy keeping it looking great week after week so that you can enjoy yourselves while you are here. We do appreciate the feedback that we received earlier this year. We have repaired and replaced several of the picnic tables. Amongst the picnic tables, we have made some substantial upgrades. Our new café is well underway and hopefully will be done in early 2022. We are excited about the all-new kitchen and an all-new laundry facility. The putt-putt golf course has been updated from the wood base to a concrete foundation.
We’ve installed a new heater on the indoor pool which was difficult to come by since a lot of parts were stuck on a boat on the east coast. We’ve also repainted the indoor pool and installed new lights. The outdoor pool has been drained, pressure washed and refilled. The cabins and cottages have also been updated with new mattresses and some are receiving a new air conditioner.
Future plans include painting, working on the piers, completing the café rebuild, replacing the roof on the condos and doing power upgrades to some additional RV sites.
LaWayne and his team have a ton of fun weekends planned. Dance with your darling at Valentine’s Weekend in February. Bring a song or two at the Mountain Lakes Got Talent Weekend in May. And you don’t want to miss our BBQ Cook off in June. Find the full list of activities on our calendar.
