Our families have been enjoying the fall weather at the resort. The lake is busy with fisherman and boat enthusiasts while land lovers enjoy the bike riding, the indoor pool, and a competitive game of ladder golf. This is a great time of year to enjoy the park while all the summer busyness is back in school.
Our Labor Day Celebration block party was a big hit with the Labor Day Party and the Adult Karaoke. Families hit the lake again reeling in the big one for our fishing tournament. The Cookout Weekend filled the air with the smell of BBQ, hamburgers, and hotdogs. We had a wide variety of cars, a live DJ, and plenty of carnival games at our Annual Fall Fest & Car Show. We were able to support a good cause while raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness with fun, games, and food. November was a busy month with honoring our veterans on Veteran’s Day as we should throughout the year, enjoying a Thanksgiving Potluck, and getting ready for the holidays.
As we move into the winter months, celebrate the season with us at our Christmas Party and Caroling. January rings in a new year and to keep the chill off, we need you to bring your best pot of Chili for our Chili Cookoff and Campfire Weekend. You and your honey won’t want to miss the Valentine Dinner and Dance coming in February. Don’t forget to bring the family for fun and games at our always family-friendly Mardi Gras Weekend.
Resort updates are coming along quite nicely. The old café building is now gone and the new café is about to go up. We will soon be laying the foundation for the new café and the rest of the building is expected to start in the early spring. In the meantime, there is still plenty to do around the park. Maintaining the grounds and working on repairs is always an ongoing project.
