With an increase in activities and many improvements to the park, Abita Springs continues to offer lots of memory making fun for members and guests of all ages! As we move into a new year, we will continue making Abita Springs an even more enjoyable place for all to enjoy.
In 2018, Abita Springs resort had many improvements made to the park. Most noticeably, the entrance road into the park has been resurfaced and a number of landscaping projects have taken place. Once into the park, members are enjoying a newly remodeled bathhouse and clubhouse, a new children’s playground area, as well as getting a good night’s rest on our cabins and cottages on the new mattresses that were installed this year.
Looking ahead, members are encouraged to come out and take advantage of all the great activities that will be taking place at the resort next year. In addition to our regular daily activities, there will be numerous major events happening throughout the year. For instance, the Abita Springs Town Garage Sale and Mardi Gras, a true Louisiana tradition, are two events that you won’t want to miss! Plus, we will have special events around all major holidays as well. If you’re a first time visitor to Abita Springs resort, we hope that you will join in on our Friday night Bingo.
If you want to venture off the park during your visit, we encourage you to go and experience one of the many Farmer’s Markets along the North Shore. You will also find that you are just an hour to downtown New Orleans and all that this great city has to offer.
While visiting the resort, members may have noticed a couple of new faces on our resort team, Hope Bessier in housekeeping and Chad Albe in maintenance. We hope that you will take a minute during your visit to say “Hi” to all our staff!
