The fresh chill in the air has made it a perfect time to gather around the campfire and enjoy s’mores. Families have gathered amongst our forest and escaped the stress of Covid from the busy city life. We are excited to welcome Maxine Sadler as the new Resort Manager. She has several years of experience in the hospitality industry and we are excited that she has joined the OCP team.
This last Fall we have enjoyed the hotdog cookouts and the Luau games during the Labor Day Weekend. We’ve had fun scouring around every inch of this park looking for clues at our Scavenger Hunt. And we’ve enjoyed being with friends and family at the movies outside. The Fall Festival brought candy and carnival games and fun at the end of October. November brought good food and friends back together with a potluck dinner.
The park will be quiet over the winter as we close the resort, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be busy. Many of the projects are planned to enhance this beautiful location and we can’t wait to show off the changes in March. This year we’ve updated the road signs for both resorts. We’ve updated and improved the Café Deck and the parking lot. We have replaced the retaining walls around the cafe from wood to brick.
We are going to continue updating the landscaping around the parks. We are updating the flooring in the Lodge, painting and updating the café, repairing the AC/Heat in the lodge and cabins, and replacing a few of the TVs. We are going to add a designated area for RV storage and we will be adding more gravel to level out several of the sites.
