The park is beginning to quiet down now that the kids are back in school. Families have enjoyed a long summer this year. Now that the park is not as busy, the campers are once again enjoying some space with the sound of waves brushing up against the shoreline.
Although we hated to see what Covid has done this year, we loved to see how families responded. Instead of families separating to all corners of the resort, they stayed together, playing catch, throwing a Frisbee, and telling stories around the campfire. This Father’s Day weekend, we had a wonderful time with our dads along with our annual fishing tournament. Everyone enjoyed the Golf Cart & Bicycle Parade during our 4th of July weekend. August was spent enjoying different games and activities for children and adults.
We start the fall with our Labor Day Celebration on September 4-6. In September, come reel in the big one in our fishing tournament and savor the smell of the grill during our Cookout Weekend. October brings our Annual Fall Festival & Car Show. With our Pumpkin Weekend, we’ll be getting ready for the Family Fun Halloween Weekend. In November, we will celebrate Veteran’s Day and enjoy Thanksgiving.
The boat charging station has been completed and is a welcome addition to the resort. Our staff pulled together so we can offer an alternative location for the cafe. Plans for a new café building are now underway. We continue to work around the property with pressure washing and painting, along with grounds maintenance.
