We are pleased to introduce Scott and Somer Savage as part of the Hideaway Ponds family. Scott and Somer both served our country and are currently retired from the US Army. Somer was positioned with the military police and Scott was positioned with transportation. They were first introduced to us at Tres Rios where Somer helped with the activities for a few months before they were asked to move to Hideaway.
With the spring weather coming to an end, we are also hopeful that the virus is coming to an end. Social distancing for us Cajuns is brutal. Summer around here means that fun in the sun is back. This June we will be planning a special Dad’s Day Off for all those hard-working dads. In July, come celebrate how great we have it during our American Pride Week. In August we have our back to school glow party as well as the ever-famous Parents Survived Summer Lazy Weekend and the 3rd Annual Mr. & Mrs. Hideaway contest.
The last couple of months we’ve continued to make improvements to the clubhouse. We’ve also gotten the pool ready to be opened so that you can enjoy it as soon as we are able to open it. One of our members restocked the pond with hundreds of fish for those ready to do some catch and release.
