Rays of warm sunshine are beginning to peak out between the clouds and members are once more outside and enjoying the great outdoors. As you look through the resort you will find a competitive game of corn hole, ladder golf, and some horseshoes during our Lawn Games Weekend. And soon we will be having our camp cook-out with a large buffet spread provided by some of the best grillers in the state. Of course, we could be slightly biased!
While the winter weather had kept us indoors for a few weekends, our lodge was filled with a lot of folks sharing great camping conversations. There were so many memories created during these times and new friendships made while playing cards, sharing a cup of coffee, or just around the pool table. Kids were so full of energy that we kept Cimmaron Hall open just a little later each evening enjoying movies, playing games, and watching kids just being kids.
In the next few months, the sun will be high in the sky and so will the outdoor fun. Your family won’t want to miss Camp Spring Break. It will be two full weeks of crafts, movies, and children’s activities. Nerf Weekend is back in March too. In April, we have our own special Easter Weekend with an egg hunt and a petting zoo. In May, the pool opens back with a big splash day right before we have our Cinco De Mayo Fiesta and Taco Bar.
Around the park, we have made several cabin updates. We have all new mattresses in many of the units. We will be continuing to renovate a few cabins throughout the spring season.
