Mountain Lakes – Spring 2019

Spring is upon us and we are so excited for what the warmer weather will bring. The resort hasn’t seemed to slow down all winter! As we are gearing up for our Spring Break Weeks and our Easter Weekend we see that friends are finding their way back to the park…ready to view that next sunset across the lake.

This winter we have enjoyed many potlucks and gatherings, bringing us lots of good food and laughter. Just in the past few months we’ve had Christmas concerts, game shows, and a few music festivals. We’ve been held hostage by pirates and danced with princesses. For us, it’s not just the activities, it’s the friendships that are being made around homemade cookies and hot cocoa, or listening to members swapping their wartime stories or the best place to get the next big fish.

The outdoor pool will be ready by mid-May, and the Spring Break fun is about to begin! Come join us at the indoor pool in March for our Black Light Pool Party with a live DJ. In April, we have a special Easter weekend planned and a Chocolate Lovers Weekend where we discover new things that taste great when dipped into a chocolate fountain. May will bring us Fiesta Fridays, Mother’s Day, and of course…Memorial Day Weekend.

In addition to all the activities fun, members are also enjoying our newly reopened café! Word around the resort is that you’re missing out if you haven’t stopped in and grabbed a bite of the good ole down home cooking from our café! On the park we have been busy upgrading a number of the 30amp sites to 30/50 amps, continuing to add picnic tables, and we are wrapping up a huge wastewater plant project.
