Now that the summer heat is behind us, we are enjoying the cooler weather, the shorter days, the friends around the campfires, S’mores, and karaoke. Our staff did an awesome job of cleaning up after Hurricane Sally and helping our members get past the storm.
Fall was a blast for all of us here. This September, we were finally able to break out the karaoke at The Labor Day Weekend. In October, the fun continued with the classic carnival games at the Fall Festival. Chef Shar taught us a quick and easy way to make our own donuts. We had a blast from the past with our Awesome 80’s weekend with a costume contest and dance party. The Thanksgiving Potluck brought everyone together to enjoy great food, fun, and family.
Tailgate with us this December at the SEC Football Tailgating Weekend. Also, join us for great holiday events such as Christmas Caroling, a Cookie Swap, a Christmas Movie Marathon, and a potluck with friends. January is not to be outdone as we kiss 2020 goodbye with the King Cake Social Weekend and dance the night away at the 70’s Disco Dance Party.
In 2020 we were able to upgrade 35 sites by adding both 30amp and 50amp hookups. We remodeled both the west and east bathhouses, remodeled the breezeway bathrooms, and added an outdoor kitchen. Our four-legged friends are enjoying their new dog park. Several of the cabins were remodeled, including new flooring, decks, new sofas and mattresses, and new stoves. For the next year, our large project is installing a new sewer treatment plant to make sure we remain as environmentally friendly as we can. This next year we will continue to improve the resort, making a great experience for our members.
