You may have already recognized a familiar face back in the park, Mickey Murdock has returned, not only as Mountain Lake’s resort manager, but he is also the resort manager for Styx River Resort as well. Next time you are at the resort, give Mickey a big welcome back. With all the hard work he’s been doing and all the time he’s invested in improving our parks, no wonder he’s this quarter’s employee spotlight!
This summer started with a great Father’s Day Weekend with crafts and a fishing tournament. Independence Day was filled with several patriotic golf carts, kids were showing off their red-white-and-blue spirit, and the pets came dressed for the occasion. There was a lot of food, fun, and entertainment, with a weenie roast, live music, and games, to name a few. In August, we danced around the pool with another great Luau.
This fall we have several events your family won’t want to miss. On September 6th–8th, we are having a Grandparents Weekend so bring your grandchildren to have fun with the whole family. On the 20th-22nd, come catch that elusive big-one at our Fall Fishing Tournament. Then, in October, we will have fun and food surrounded by some of the best cars at our 8th Annual Fall Festival & Car Show from the 4th-6th. We have 2 Halloween events for the family coming the last 2 weekends of October. Join us for Thanksgiving Weekend on November 22nd-24th and for a special Thanksgiving Dinner on the 26th.
During this fall, we are planning to bring 50-amp service to sites that only have 30 amps. We are also looking at repainting the indoor pool, as well as, making our outdoor pool even better. It’s time to hit the lake again!
