The kids are going back to the school and the weather is beginning to send some relief to all of us here at Millwood Landing Resort. Right now is the best time to lounge around the pool and enjoy the quietness of the area. Because of the continual improvements we have made around the golf resort, we are seeing more members and the local community come and enjoy playing a round of golf. It’s a great time to come work on that swing!
Recently, we had several great moments to be proud of. This was the first summer for our new resort manager Amanda, and it was great to see many of our members get to know her. We had several of our campers come together for the Fourth of July. They shared their memories of their service in the military, their grandchildren, and catching up on life. We celebrated the 4th with hotdogs and Frito-chili-pie.
This coming fall, make plans to join us for our Labor Day Cookout. We shall feast around the grill, making hamburgers and hot dogs. Throughout the park, we are getting different activities back up and running. Soon we will be having corn hole, volleyball, horseshoes, and more. We want you to come join us for our Thanksgiving dinner. Just bring your favorite side or dessert and we will reminisce about all the many ways that we are truly blessed.
This coming season, we will be making updates around the resort. First, the outside of many of our cabins will be painted, and we will also be renovating the women’s side of the bathhouse. Then, we will with our greens maintenance be putting fertilizer throughout the golf course making it look better than ever. The fairways are really looking great, so come on out and do some golfing with us!
