As usual, Tres Rios is hopping with activity. Family and friends have gathered to enjoy campfires, cookouts, and the rivers. If the Texas heat is too much during the summer, now is the time to enjoy the cooler Texas temperatures.
September brought us the Let the Good Times Roll Weekend. We had the best homemade pretzels at the Oktoberfest Celebration. The Fall Festival in October was a hit with crafts and games. Everyone enjoyed the hayrides, trick-or-treat, and some old-fashioned fall fun. November kicked off with our Veteran’s Day Celebration while the rest of the month had a food and shopping theme. The Crockpot Cookoff Weekend, along with cookie decorating and the Thanksgiving Potluck left everyone full. Black Friday Weekend finished off the month with shopping and music.
December is magical at Tres with our “Welcome to WHOville” – a grinchy weekend and our “Christmas Magic Weekend” which includes S’mores and more. January kicks into high gear with a Rock-N-Roll Weekend to celebrate Elvis’ birthday. February wouldn’t be the same without a Mardi Gras event and enjoying Valentine’s with a Sweetheart Supper.
The pipes are finally laid for the new tie-in to the city sewer system. We excited to bring this long-awaited project to completion and finally be tied into the city sewage. Painting around the resort has also been a big project the staff have been working on including cabin porches, the front office, the Palace, the Kids Hall, and even the signage out front.
