Winter has arrived and everyone is enjoying this festive season and ready for this year to close. Members got their last dip in the new pool just before it got too cold. All of our fall outdoor activities have been shared and enjoyed by all ages. We have enjoyed a competitive round of corn hole and now the socials, Bingo, and crafts are keeping us all very busy.
We kicked off September with our Annual Labor Day & Member Appreciation Weekend which was full of food and fun. On Saturday mornings, members enjoyed looking through the Craft & Flea market here on the park. Coffee time and nature walks were spent with friends – new and old.
This December wear your ugliest sweater to our Ugly Sweater Weekend where we will have prizes as well as a ton of fun. As January brings the cold, we will need to have some indoor fun like a Chocolate Lovers Weekend where all things chocolate will be served. Bring your bell-bottoms to our Disco Days Weekend where we will boogie on down. February is always a fun time at the Springs with the Valentine’s Day Events and Mardi Gras to bring your best beau to.
This last year we have made a lot of updates to the park. We’ve replaced the wooden pool deck with a concrete deck along with a new fence around the pool. We are building a new dog park and hopefully will replace two cabin roofs later next year. We’ve also repainted all the buildings except for the clubhouse which we hope to accomplish before the end of the year. In 2021, we hope to replace the siding and floors in the cabins and possibly get to do some remodeling in the bathrooms by the pool. We are trying to stay out of the way of a few hurricanes this year but that hasn’t stopped us from having a great time.
