Organize Your RV

Organizing Your RV Camping Trip

When you’re living in an RV, you’ll know for a fact that it’s a very small space to have your whole family inside it with all your belongings. That’s why organizing your things, and planning cleaning schedules are very important if you still want to keep your stuff easy to locate and re-pack.

An RV is a vehicle that has a driver seat, a kitchen area, mini-lounging area, a closet and a bedroom. Some high-end RVs can have a double-deck or sitting space on the roof of the vehicle. Campers can do their own customizations in the van; some may include electrical systems, desk space, extra sleeping space, and dining space.

When organizing your RV, there are three rules that you should consider doing. By following these simple rules, you can have a better looking RV with much wider space.

1. Evaluate the things that you can bring. One of the advices of any professional camper is that you always evaluate the things that you bring with you. Whenever you stock something inside your van, you should evaluate everything and eliminate the things that you rarely or never use. If you happen to have more things than you need, then you should probably donate them to your camping neighbors or the local goodwill. After a few camping trips you can get a sense of what you need to bring with you.

2. Designate things where they belong. If you can’t locate your things easily when camping, then this is a sign that your RV is not organized very well. The best solution for this problem is to designate a certain location for everything. Everyone in your family or friends should know where to get and to put it back. Every object should have their own designated area. There are some great storage options out there for RVs that you can find in many different stores, or online.

3. Creating a cleaning schedule. Clutter can happen very fast, especially if you’re not aware of it. This is even more true if you’re living inside a small RV. That’s why it’s important to have a cleaning schedule. Putting your cleaning schedule in the morning is the best practice that you can do because having a clean environment before you go on a ride can mean much on your mood all throughout the day. Make sure that you wash the dishes, the dust of any flat area inside the RV, fix the bed and clean any of your windows. This is to ensure that your RV is all set-up and ready to go.

With all these simple rules, you can have a clean and organized camping RV in no time. You’ll have more space, freedom, and a clean house (or RV) means a clean mind!
